Klaviyo is a great way to stay connected with your customers through email. In this tutorial, we're going to show you how to use Klaviyo Flows to drive more content for your brand. Let's hop in!Past vs Future OrdersWhen you think about email marketing for customers, it's important to think about past vs future orders. Past orders are customers that have already purchased you can market to whereas future orders you can set up to send on a cadence post purchase. This tutorial focuses on future orders using Klaviyo flows. If you'd like to send an email campaign to past orders we'll have a tutorial coming on that very soon!RequirementsTo set this up, you'll need a couple things:
    1. A Shopify store with an enabled subscription2. An active Klaviyo account3. Klaviyo integrated with Shopify4. A subscription with Bounty
Bounty is waitlist only right now, you can sign up here. Be sure to say you came from this blog!Setting up the FlowFirst thing we're going to do is set up our Klaviyo flow. To do so, navigate to https://www.klaviyo.com/flows and select Create Flow. Next, click Create from Scratch at the upper-right hand side of the screen, name your flow, and click Create Flow.
Now that we have a flow created, it's time to add some logic! With flows, you can define rules and logic trees that users will be sent through after they complete an action. I know that sounds complicated, but Klaviyo makes it super easy. To get started, click the Trigger tile.
You should see a pane appear on the left side of the screen. We're looking for the Metric trigger. Metrics are tied to actions that user takes, and with Shopify integrated, you can trigger events on certain order actions such as Fulfilled Order. That's the one we're looking for.
Now that we have our trigger, let's set up a filter so that it's less noisy. From what we've seen, there's a lot of times orders are fulfilled for $0 for support or other things so let's filter those out. Add a trigger filter that requires that an order is greater than $10 in value. This is specific to each store. Set any amount that you feel comfortable with.
Once you save, you should have a flow that looks like this:
We're halfway there! Now we need to add a time delay to make sure this email is sent after they have received the product. Drag a time delay onto your flow and set it for 14 days. This varies by store. Set a value that is a few days after your normal delivery duration to make sure your customer has the product.
Time for the fun part - sending the email. Drag an Email block to be after the time delay you've set up.
For the subject line, we recommend using "Can we sponsor you" and using one of our email templates as a good starting point. From there, make it your own! There's one extremely important part to the email that makes it work with Bounty - the link. Any link inside of the email that goes to Bounty will need to look like this:https://creators.earnbounty.com/invite?shop=yourstore.myshopify.com&orderId={{ event.extra.id }}&email={{ event.extra.email }}&ref=FLOWReplace yourstore.myshopify.com with your myshopify.com domain name. This allows us to match the user's order to your store's eligible products to grant Bounties. To run this campaign, make sure you have your most popular products enabled for Bounty in your dashboard. Without doing so, customers won't be able to create content for your brand.Already have a Post Purchase Flow Setup? If you already have a flow setup in Klaviyo for post purchase, you can still use Bounty! For example, let's say you have a product review flow that looks like this:
Klaviyo allows you do add something called a Conditional Split to segment customers traveling through your flow. Let's add one just before the product review email.
Next up, select Random sample and set it to 50%. This will send 50% of your traffic into your normal review flow and 50% into the Bounty flow. The best of both worlds!
Success!
